If i were in your shoes I would bring my laptop. I'm pretty sure there will be some internet spots in international airports. Not sure about the domestic ones. But either way, I would still bring it just in case. I would keep it tucked away with my clothes when I'm away. Have fun and be safe!
Answer 2 :
Airports, hotels, cafes, restos always have free internet access on WiFi. I am bringing my laptop anywhere I go and I can go online always. Busines and first class may or may not have powerport. Better bring two fully charge batteries. Hotels have safe boxes if you are worried of losing it.

Exchange Student In France!!?

Exchange Student In France!!?
I am VERY interested in going to France for one year as an exchange student. Currently I am 12 - i know that is to young, but I am willing to wait. I have been learning French for almost 5 years now, but I have only just started to LOVE it. I was thinking of either going with : WEP - http://wep.org.au/info/study-abroad-france AFX -http://www.australia-france-exchange.com/index.php/programs-overview/under-18-years-old/one-way-exchange/one-way-year-program/ or EF -http://www.ef-australia.com.au/highschool/destinations/france/exchange-year-in-france/ Has anyone traveled through these agencies? I am prepared for being homesick, my dad said I could get a laptop to Skype my family. Money isn't a issue. I am worried that I will have to repeat a year and leave all of my friends behind. What did you have to do? Thank you so much!! xx

I need help selecting a new laptop?

I need help selecting a new laptop?
This spring break I will be going to France, so that's the main reason I need a laptop. I take and edit a lot of pictures and videos, type a lot of essays (i'm a student), and download a lot of music. Which laptop do you think would be best? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9371538&type=product&id=1218093382123 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9352773&type=product&id=1218089774244 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9445718&type=product&id=1218105504639 Thank you very much =)

The first one (Toshiba Satellite L505-S6946) has the best specs of the 3
Answer 2 :
Here's why you should get a Mac:: There are NO CONS. The MacBook does both WinDoze and OSX, no other computer can make that statement. You have the best of the best. Apple Stores are popping up all over and you can make an appointment for a time and date, bring your computer there for a quick fix. They will troubleshoot it and fix it if it's a software problem for FREE. What other computer company has stores and can make that statement? Get the 2.4 GHz with 4Gigs Ram and you got a speed machine like mine. Go Mac and Never Go Back. Mac, the User Friendly Computer. If you read the questions here you will notice that most problems are about every computer except a Mac.
Answer 3 :
any kind of macbook would work great for you . macbooks come with imovie , imovie is perfect for video editing also macbooks come with a webcam that shoots really high quality videos . to write essays: macbooks come with "pages" and "text edit".

France trip questions......?

France trip questions......?
I am 13 years old and I am travelling to France with my school for a fun trip in the summer. This is my first time going alone and I have a couple of questions: 1. What kinds of cell phones are compatible there? 2. The plug-in's are different, what do they look like and how do I get the plugs for them? 3. If I brought 6000 dollars, how much money in euros would that be? 4. Can I bring my laptop?...(the plug problem) Thanks sooo much :)

Answer 1 :
The plug is not the only thing different, the power is too. You will need a converter plug. If you bring 6000 dollars that is 4800 Euros, more or less. You can bring your laptop if you buy a converter. This is what French plugs and pin look like (scroll down to see the pictures): http://www.levoyageur.net/prises.php?paysfr=France Have a nice trip
Answer 2 :
Hi there, 1. Cell Phones using the "tri-band" system are compatible in France and most of Europe. However, most newer phones are compatible both in the USA and Europe. My Motorola "Razr" is compatible in the US, for example. The best thing to do is to check at your nearest electronics shop or where you bought your phone 2. The plugs in France are commonly called the "Europlug". The plugs are made of two prongs that are rounded as opposed to being circular. You can get a plug adapter from most travel stores and at most International Airports 3. Today at 19:25 CET (13:25 EST) 6000 Dollars is 4701 Euros. It is best to check before you leave what the exchange rate is at because it changes frequently 3. You can bring your laptop on one condition. Take the transformer (the big box-like thingy) and look for the label with all the energy/safety compliance signs. Somewhere on it you should see the word "Input AC" or something along those lines. If you want your laptop to work in Europe it MUST say "100 — 240 V". This also applies to your Phone Charger. Europe uses 220 to 240 Volts whereas the US uses 100 to 110 Volts. This means that the transformer (the box-like thingy) for your laptop or phone must be able to accept both voltages. However, this should not be a problem as most modern electrical appliances can adapt both voltages. Hope this helped, JPJ
Answer 3 :
you have already received a conversion of the dollars in euros, and on the lap top and phone, so no need to answer you again on this. but ? i just wanted to add? i hope you do not bring that in cash with you? there are other ways to get cash while in France, such as a debit card which would work in France.
Answer 4 :
6000 dollars...and you 13 !!!!! My parents gave me maybe 10 bucks when I was a kids and I went to camp for 3 weeks!!!
